From a ranch in Durango, Mexico, to a garage in Wyoming, Michigan—that's how Salvia Cano's dream began. She arrived with her mother's and grandmother's recipes tucked in her heart and without speaking a word of English. What started as Sunday meals prepared on a wood-burning stove for friends and neighbors transformed into El Toro Bravo: a restaurant that brings the authentic flavors of north-central Mexico to West Michigan.

A mother of three children who work alongside her, Salvia has faced every obstacle—language, balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship—with courage and humility. ``I have never stopped learning,`` she says with pride. ``I've been able to be an example for my children, and that fills me with pride.``

A story that proves that with heart, dedication, and the willingness to keep growing, dreams become reality.
